Currently working on revamping the fleet arrival process to improve better handling of task groups and detached commands.  Version 2.2.24 and Black Eye will both be brought online on 19 Feb 2012.  Thank you for your patience.

The Dark Expanse Black Eye Galaxy will be wrapping up on 17 February 2012.  We would like to thank all those that participated and made that galaxy a success.  The new galaxy instance will be starting soon.  Several announcement will be sent out when the new galaxy is online.

Existing player accounts from the previous instance will be transferred to the new galaxy.

Starting on February 1st, Deorc Enterprise, the developers of Dark Expanse, will
be holding a contest to win a signed copy of Steven L. Kent's latest book, “The
Clone Redemption.” The contest will run until Midnight (GMT) March 31st, 2012.

Contest Rules
How To Enter: Submit an original story on the Dark Expanse Forum under the
Fan Fiction section. The story must be about one of the Dark Expanse races, or
a Dark Expanse character and set in the Dark Expanse Universe. Please Visit
the Dark Expanse Forums for more information http://forum.deorc.com/index.php

How do I make a submission? - All contest entries must be posted on the Dark
Expanse Forum under Fan Fiction.

Is there a word limit? - Written entries do not have a minimum or maximum
word limit.

How many entries can I have? - Contestants can submit as many entries as
they want, but only one entry per contestant can win.

Who can participate? - All registered Dark Expanse users can enter. All entries
must be an original work by the submitter. Deorc Enterprise employees are not
eligible to participate.

Contest Awards
1st Place – An autographed copy of The Clone Redemption + 500 Dark Expanse
Galactic Credits
2nd Place – An autographed copy of The Clone Redemption + 200 Dark
Expanse Galactic Credits
3rd Place – 100 Dark Expanse Galactic Credits

Contest Terms
Deorc Enterprise reserves the right to cancel, start, stop, or extend any contest it
sees fit to hold with or without notification. All contest winners will be determined
by Deorc Enterprise or their designated representative. Deorc Enterprise
reserves the right to substitute any contest award for something of equal or
lesser value. Any contestant awarded a prize is responsible for any tax liability
incurred. All entries may be used in whole, or in part, or modified by Deorc
Enterprise. Deorc Enterprise employees are not eligible to participate.

The new Andromeda 2 Galaxy is now online.  We wish you many victories in 2012 and a Happy New Year!

Any previous Andromeda accounts have been forwarded to the new galaxy.  Therefore, your previous log in and passwords are still valid.

The Dark Expanse Andromeda Galaxy will be wrapping up on 31 December 2011.  We would like to thank all those that participated and made that galaxy a success.   We are happy to announce that a new galaxy instance will be starting on 1 January 2012.

The new galaxy will include a new feature called veteran status.  Now your combat assets will gain experience through active combat.

Existing player accounts from the previous instance will be transferred to the new galaxy.

The Black Eye speed galaxy has been regenerated and is now ready for colonization.  Previous Black Eye accounts have been brought forward along with any existing account credits.  An additional 50 credits have been added to the existing accounts.  This galaxy will run through 15 Feb 2012.  We look forward to seeing you in the new galaxy.

The new 4X speed galaxy will start on August 5th.  The game play will be the same as in the Andromeda galaxy except the game will run 4x faster.  Black Eye is intended for more intensive players.  And we hope you enjoy this faster more intensive game play.

Need to create a new account
In the past, we transferred the beta accounts to the Andromeda server, we will not be doing this for the Black Eye galaxy.  This means that should you wish to play in the Black Eye galaxy, you will need to register a new account.  Andromeda and Black Eye will be treated as separate accounts.  More than likely you should be able to retain your account name and reuse the same email.
