The Dark Expanse Black Eye 3 galaxy will be wrapping up on 17 February 2013 at 1800 Eastern.  We would like to thank all those that participated and made that galaxy a success.  The Galaxy Winners will be posted to the Hall of Honor.

The new galaxy instance will be starting on 18 February 2013.  Several announcements will be sent out when the new galaxy is online.

Existing player accounts, and credits, from the previous instance will be transferred to the new galaxy instance.  Therefore, you will be able to retain your old log in and password in the Black Eye 4 galaxy.

We are happy to announce that Steven L. Kent has sent us autographed copies of his latest book "The Clone Sedition".   We plan on awarding a copy of the books to the three people that have the most "Referred Friends" on January 31, 2013.  Steven's other books can be found on our Recommended Reading page.  http://www.deorc.com/DarkExpanse/RecommendedReading.jsp

This is a preliminary announcement of that contest.  The contest will start when the next code drop v2.2.35 goes live.  We expect that to happen by mid-December.

To have a referred friend, it will require the friend to register for Dark Expanse, in one of our galaxies, and on their preference page, add you by your game login name.  Not only will you have a chance to win one of the signed books, but anytime the friend purchases Galactic Credits, you will receive 20% of whatever they buy.

Friends with duplicate IP addresses of potential winners will not be counted.

The forum software has been updated to the latest and greatest. You may see a bit of a delay when loading a new page for the first time. If you see any other problems, please let me know.

The Andromeda 2 galaxy, will end Monday, 31 December 2012, at 1200 EST.  The new Andromeda 3 galaxy will be available starting Tuesday, 1 Jan 2013.

All player accounts will be forwarded from the Andromeda 2 galaxy to the Andromeda 3 galaxy.  Therefore, existing login names and passwords will stay the same.  Any existing Galactic Credits will also be transferred forward as well.

The new Andromeda 3 Galaxy will be launched on 1 Jan 2013!!! Existing accounts and galactic credits will be forwarded from when the Andromeda 2 Galaxy ends on 31 Dec!!! The new galaxy will run for 9 months.

We anticipate the release of v2.2.35 on or about 16 Dec 2012.  At that time, the Refer A Friend contest will begin and run until 1 Feb 2013.  At which time, we will be awarding the top 3 referrers a copy of Steven L. Kent's book the Clone Sedition.
